Flash of Inspiration for New Wireless DDA Device
EMS is celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2007 with the launch of another innovative new product for its 5000 FirePoint wireless analogue fire alarm system. The new product combines all the features of the award winning wireless fire sensor/voice sounder unit, with the addition of a LED strobe. The fire sensor can be either an optical smoke or a heat device combined with an electronic sounder or voice sounder and the strobe.The flexibility of this device provides an ideal solution for DDA-compliant fire and voice evacuation applications such as hotels and hospitals where a fire detector, sounder and strobe are required in every room. As expensive fire-rated cable is eliminated, each device can be installed in less than 10 minutes without disrupting the operation of the building and without the damaging installation works associated with wired systems.
Up to 4 pre-recorded voice messages can be stored in the voice sounder and activated from the system controller. These voice messages are combined with the traditional fire alarm signal to help remove any confusion often associated with traditional alarm signals.
