About the EMS Group

EMS Radio Fire and Security Systems Ltd is part of the EMS Security group of companies, founded in 1967 by the group’s current Chairman. We now have over 40 years experience in the development and UK manufacture of radio-based solutions for complex fire and security problems. During 2009 we manufactured our one millionth radio device.

Radio technology has been successfully used in industry and commerce for over 100 years and the ability to securely transmit data without the use of cable continues to gain user acceptance. We can supply reliable and high quality wireless solutions for  fire detection and security requirements of all types of buildings and site areas.

With more than 100,000 radio systems installed in sites such as schools, hotels, government offices, HMOs, power stations and retail outlets, at EMS we are proud to consider ourselves the industry’s leading authority on radio technology.

EMS has its factory and offices in Herne Bay, in Kent. From there we research, design and manufacture all electronic components to ISO 9001 Standards and in compliance with relevant technical standards. Our experienced nationwide sales team can offer comprehensive advice to system installers, consultants, buildings managers and health and safety professionals in respect of fire and security. Our UK technical help desk engineers support installers with guidance, training and technical clarifications.
